How to explore

Walking around in Viewshare

Use the spaceship navigation controls found in the bottom right corner of the main viewer interface to walk around.

If you are browsing on a mobile device, rotate your device to landscape mode for the best experience; otherwise your view may be a little cramped.

lit forward arrowClick or tap to walk forward from your current position dark forward arrowThis indication means you cannot walk forward from your current position
lit backward arrowClick or tap to walk backward from your current position dark backward arrowThis indication means you cannot walk backward from your current position
lit left turn arrowClick or tap to turn left from your current position dark left turn arrowThis indication means you cannot turn left from your current position
lit u-turn turn arrowClick or tap to turn around from your current position and face the reverse direction dark u-turn turn arrowThis indication means you cannot turn around from your current position
lit right turn arrowClick or tap to turn right from your current position dark right turn arrowThis indication means you cannot turn right from your current position
lit up arrowClick or tap to move up to a higher position dark up arrowThis indication means you cannot move up from your current position
lit down arrowClick or tap to move down to a lower position dark down arrowThis indication means you cannot move down from your current position

Looking up or down

Where imagery is available, click (don't drag or swipe) the upper or lower portion of the view to pan up or down.

Viewing text information

For your current view, scroll down (or swipe up on a mobile device) to view description information for your current view, viewpoint and viewspace that you are exploring.
